Cobequid Fault at West Advocate

The wild cliffs that stretch from West Advocate to Cape Chignecto form a scarp of the Cobequid Fault, conjuring the power of ancient tectonic forces and the mystery of Kluscap. Here, you can lay your hand where continents collided!

Geological Formation: Various
Age: Devonian to Triassic (circa 375 to 200 million years)
Directions: From Highway 209, take West Advocate Road to Cape Chignecto Provincial Park and park at Visitor Centre. Take the short hiking trail to the beach, and follow the cliffs to your immediate right.
